Translation notice
This English version is provided for convenience. The German privacy policy remains the authoritative version.
Privacy policy
Unless otherwise stated below, providing your personal data is neither legally nor contractually required, nor necessary for entering into a contract. You are not obliged to provide data, and failure to do so has no consequences unless otherwise stated for a specific processing operation.
“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Server log files
You can visit our website without providing personal details. Whenever you access our website, usage data is transmitted by your browser to us or our hosting or IT service provider and stored in server log files.
This data may include the page accessed, date and time, IP address, transferred data volume and requesting provider. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in the reliable operation and improvement of our website.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect the personal data you provide, including your name, email address and message. Processing is carried out to contact you. By submitting your message, you consent to the processing of the transmitted data under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by notifying us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. We use your email address only to process your enquiry. Your data is then deleted unless you have consented to further processing and use.
Orders
When you place an order, we collect and process personal data only as required to fulfil and process your order and answer enquiries. Providing this data is necessary to enter into a contract. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data may be passed to selected shipping companies and dropshipping providers, payment service providers, order-processing providers and IT service providers. We comply with legal requirements and limit data transfer to the necessary minimum.
Newsletter
We use your email address for our own newsletter marketing independently of contract processing only if you have expressly consented. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting us. Your email address will then be removed from the mailing list. Data may be passed to an email-marketing service provider under a data-processing agreement, but not to other third parties.
Direct advertising
We may use an email address received when selling goods or services to send electronic advertising for our own similar goods or services unless you have objected. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in direct advertising.
You may object to this use of your email address at any time. Contact details are available in our Legal Notice. You may also use the link in the advertising email. No costs arise other than transmission costs at the basic rate.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by the browser on a user’s device. They contain a characteristic sequence that enables the browser to be recognised when the website is visited again.
We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Some website functions cannot be provided without cookies. Processing is based on Section 15(3) TMG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as stated in the German source text.
Data collected in this way is pseudonymised through technical measures and is not stored together with other personal data. You may prevent cookies through your browser settings or delete cookies already stored. Some website functions may then not be fully available.
Storage period
After a contract has been completed, data is initially stored for the duration of the warranty period and then in accordance with statutory tax and commercial retention periods. It is deleted after those periods unless you have consented to further processing and use.
Your rights
If the legal requirements are met, you have rights under Articles 15 to 20 GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.
Under Article 21(1) GDPR, you also have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and to processing for direct marketing. Contact details are available in our Legal Notice.
Right to lodge a complaint
Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully.
Right to object
Where processing is based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation, with effect for the future.
Following an objection, processing will cease unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time. After an objection, we will stop processing the relevant data for direct-marketing purposes.
